This statistic presents the VPN usage penetration as of 1st quarter 2018, by age group. During the survey period, it was found that 23 percent of global internet users aged 35 to 44 years had used virtual private network in the past month. The main reasons for doing so was in order to access geo-blocked social platforms or media content.
