During a global app publisher survey conducted in 2021, it was found that video ads were the most popular app monetization method. In total, 82 percent of responding app publishers stated that they used video ads to monetize their mobile gaming content, while non-gaming publishers using video ads were 76 percent of the total. Display ads followed in second place with a 77 percent implementation rate for non-gaming apps.
