It can be seen that the largest share of available current accounts, nearly two fifths of the market (39 percent), were classed as standard current accounts at that time. The source defines standard accounts as those with low or no monthly fee and no extra non-banking benefits. The smallest share of available current accounts were classed as young person accounts (ten percent), these accounts are designed to help transition young people from basic to normal current accounts.
