The 2022 FIFA World Cup is due to take place in Qatar in November 2022. The host nation has come under fire for its alleged mistreatment of migrant workers, bribery, and other human rights violations. During an April 2022 survey among soccer fans in the United States, seven percent of respondents strongly opposed companies sponsoring the World Cup in Qatar, while 13 percent strongly supported the notion.
