SVOD services penetration rate in households in the U.S. 2015-2021
The share of daily users of a top three subscription video-on-demand service has been lower than that who used more than one SVOD platform, irrespective of the year, in the United States. While there was a gradual annual growth of the penetration rate of any of the top three subscription video-on-demand services Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu from 2015 to 2020, there was no change between 2020 and 2021. As of 2021, 78 percent of people from the U.S. used any of the top three SVOD platforms.
