According to a survey carried out from November 2021 to August 2022, the voting intention for Jair Bolsonaro, incumbent president of Brazil, has been increasing over time. While starting with a voting intention of 21 percent, as of mid-August 2022, just a month and a half before the presidential elections, a third of respondents intended to vote for him. Lula da Silva, candidate of the Workers' Party (PT) and former president, led the opinion poll with 45 percent, three percentage points lower than in the previous survey in November. As of the latest edition of the survey, six percent of respondents were still unsure of whom they would cast a ballot for.
