Eating and food preparation changes since COVID-19 in the U.S. in 2020 & 2021

In 2020, approximately 85 percent of respondents in the United States stated that they have experienced some change to their eating or food preparation habits, because of the pandemic. In 2021, the share of respondents giving the same answer decreased to 72 percent. A similar pattern can be detected among other food-related questions. In 2020, approximately 30 percent of respondents stated that they are washing fresh produce more, whereas in 2021 this figure decreased to 22 percent.
