More than a third of consumers said that they were buying more alcohol and snack foods because they wanted it more during social distancing measures due to the coronavirus outbreak in the United States in 2020. Forty-one percent of respondents stated that they considered buying more ready-made and microwave meals more necessary during the pandemic.
