Metaverse description according to U.S. game developers 2021
A November 2021 survey of game developers in the United States found that when trying to describe the metaverse, over half of respondents settled on a definition of that included a combination of multiple elements of technology, including virtual reality, augmented reality and video where users lived within a virtual world. Only a third of respondents felt that "the next version of a global internet" was an applicable description.
