Social commerce has experienced a notable surge in adoption over recent years. In 2023, its global penetration rate had risen to approximately 23.6 percent, compared to just over three percent in 2018. While forecasts suggest a slowdown in the upcoming years, social commerce penetration will continue to rise, potentially by another five percentage points by 2028.
