Trust in the media in the European Union 2017, by medium This statistic shows the results of a survey on the level of trust in the media in the EU in 2017, broken down by medium. During the survey period it was found that the highest level of trust was put into radio, with 59 percent of respondents stating that they tended to trust it. Television was perceived as the second most reliable medium with 51 percent of Europeans who tended to trust it in 2017. The share of EU citizens who stated that they tended not to trust in the internet and online social networks increased in 2017, and constituted 51 percent and 62 percent, respectively.
