Online toys market share in the Netherlands 2018

Market share of online toy purchases in the Netherlands as of December 2018

Online toys market share in the Netherlands 2018 This statistic shows the market share of online purchases of toys in the Netherlands as of December 2018. The source uses its own methodology to calculate the online market share, the so-called "theoretical market share" (in Dutch: theoretisch marktaandeel), in response to numbers reported by the Dutch e-commerce association Thuiswinkel.org. During the survey, Dutch households indicated that 31 percent of them bought toys online. On average, this 31 percent spent 40 percent of their total budget online. That (31 times 0.40) would lead to a theoretical market share of approximately 12 percent, which was the ninth highest of all product segments in the Netherlands.
