A significant share of consumers surveyed in the Netherlands in 2019 indicated that, if they were to buy sports gear from a particular brand, they would prefer to purchase it from a shop or webshop which sells multiple brands. Close to 60 percent of survey respondents indicated that they preferred multi-brand retailers over single-brand shops or webshops, while a quarter of respondents expressed no preference.
