As of April 2022, nearly 4,500 apps in Apple App Store were last updated in 2020, while over 1,800 apps were last updated in 2019. Additionally, as of April 2022, the Apple App Store still hosted approximately 800 mobile apps that were last updated before 2017. Apple announced in April 2022, that thousands of apps that are no longer optimized will be delisted from the Apple App Store in the near future.
