Global Android app publishers first million U.S. dollars revenue by category 2021

In 2021, 43 percent of the app publishers in the Google Play Store that earned their first net million U.S. dollars were gaming app publishers. By comparison, only four percent of the Android app publishers among those who earned their first net million U.S. dollars in that year were education app publishers. There was a small year-over-year decrease in the number of social media app publishers reaching the million-dollar milestone, while entertainment publishers reaching the one-million milestone represented 10 percent of the total during the last measured year.
