U.S. consumers' motivation behind the purchasing decision for gluten-free foods 2013 This statistic shows the results of a consumer survey conducted in June 2013. U.S. consumers were asked about the motivational factors behind their purchasing decision for gluten-free products. More than half of respondents indicated that a designated gluten-free food aisle would positively influence their purchase decision. A gluten-free diet is generally necessary if someone suffers from celiac disease.
