These formats are typically video ads that appear before, during or after the streamed video (pre-roll, mid-roll, post-roll video ads). In addition to these video ads, text- or image-based overlays that appear while watching a video are also categorized as video advertising. Includes native video advertising; excludes video ads on pages that are not in a video player and video ads displayed in social networks. Further information on methodology can be found here. Data is shown using current exchange rates. The replacement of the 2017 constant exchange rate with current exchange rates was carried out in October 2021.
