Customer loyalty for online stores during holiday shopping in the Netherlands 2017
This statistic shows the customer loyalty for online stores in the Netherlands in 2017 and more specifically displays the answers to the question "what do you usually do when a product is not available in an online store?". As of 2017, 42 percent of Dutch consumers would use a search engine or comparison site to find the desired holiday gift elsewhere. To go to a physical store of the same chain or looking for a different product on the same website are considered as loyal behaviour towards the online store. Thus, only 24 percent of online shoppers stay loyal to the store or brand of the desired gift if the product is not available in an online store.
