Between 2019 and 2021, shopping online has become more popular in Italy. All age groups of respondents taking part to a survey over the three years period showed increased e-commerce penetration. As of 2021, 56 percent of Italian people aged up to 34 years old used to buy consumer goods online, closely followed by respondents between 35 and 49 years old, with 55 percent.
