People are constantly trading stories about their customer service experiences but which industries cause the most pain? According to a survey of US adults carried out by Ipsos, government offices have the worst customer service departments and representatives in the United States, garnering 39 percent of the vote.
The telecommunications sector comes a close second, with 38 percent of people saying they have the worst customer service in the country. Airlines and insurance companies have a bad reputation for assisting their customers but interestingly, Americans are relatively satisfied with their customer service departments.
