In 2018, 38 percent of the children who came from a low social class in Denmark used social media when things were difficult. This was eight percent more than kids from a middle class background and seven percent more when compared to children from a high class. Thus, children with fewer resources were more reluctant to seek refuge on online media when experiencing negative emotions.
