Coronavirus impact: global device usage increase by age 2020

The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on global media device usage varied according to age group, according to a survey held in March 2020, which revealed that 56 percent of Gen Z internet users had used their laptop more since the start of the outbreak, compared to just 27 percent of Boomers. Interestingly, PC and desktop usage remained largely the same across all generations, whilst Gen Z and Gen X were the most likely to be using their smartphone or mobile phone more regularly.
