Main factors in rice purchases in Japan 2020
According to a survey conducted in 2020 in Japan, the leading factor consumers take into consideration in the purchase of rice was the price. While more than half of respondents agreed that price, region of origin, and product type were important factors when buying rice, only around five percent would pay attention to the nutritional value of product varieties.
