Leading concerns about social commerce worldwide 2021
Respondents to a 2021 survey ranked their top 3 concerns with using social commerce worldwide. The most cited concerns were related to a lack of hassle-free refunds, with 41 percent concerned that their purchases were not protected and 37 percent concerned at the lack of an adequate refund policy for returned products. Trust was also a major concern; respondents expressed distrust in social platforms' handling of their data (29 percent), in influencers' recommendations (24 percent), and the authenticity or quality of purchased products (23 percent).
