
Share of video-on-demand users in the U.S. 2022, by platform type
A study from the fourth quarter of 2022 revealed that hybrid video-on-demand, offering both ad-free subscription and lower-cost ad-supported tiers, has become the most popular video streaming platform type among Samsung TV users in the U.S. Over 60 percent of them have used these services for the past two months - an increase of six percent compared with the previous year. Meanwhile, the share of SVOD users saw a year-over-year decline of 0.3 percent.
