In December 2020, the most basic monthly plan for HBO Max cost subscribers just under 15 U.S. dollars, whereas Amazon Prime Video was 8.99 U.S. dollars per month. Newcomers Disney+ and Apple TV+ were priced lower than the larger, more established SVoD services like Amazon and Netflix, though the latter two were better value for money when it came to the number of films and TV shows subscribers got per dollar.
