In June 2020, the most basic monthly plan for HBO Now cost subscribers just under 15 dollars, whereas Amazon Prime Video was 8.99 dollars per month. Newcomers Disney+ and Apple TV+ were priced lower than the larger, more established SVoD services like Amazon and Netflix, though the latter two were better value for money when it came to the number of films and TV shows subscribers got per dollar. Meanwhile, brand new platform HBO Max also cost 14.99 U.S. dollars per month, and had more content available than HBO Now.
