In 2019, the overall value of Milward Brown's BrandZ Top 100 most valuable Chinese brands increased to 890 billion U.S. dollars, indicating a 30 percent year-on-year growth. Among all, Alibaba led the ranking with its balanced brand power and a close connection with consumers. That year, there were 17 new brands listed in the ranking for the first time.
