According to the results of a survey held in the United States in October 2019, 54 percent of households in the country paid for both a pay TV service and an SVoD service. Whilst the number of non-pay TV households has been steadily increasing over the years, the number of subscribers to SVoD services has continually grown not only in the United States but also on a global scale.
