NPL ratio of corporate real estate loans of listed Chinese banks H2 2021-H1 2023
In the first half of 2023, the non-performing loan ratio of corporate loans in the real estate sector of large commercial banks in China amounted to five percent, a 0.13 percent decrease compared to the end of 2022. Compared to joint-stock commercial banks and city and rural commercial banks, large banks had the highest share of bad debt. However, the share of corporate real estate loans in overall business was lower than in joint-stock and city and rural commercial banks.
