U.S. teen mobile instant messenger users 2015, by gender and age

This statistic presents the share of teen cell phone users who use messaging apps as of March 2015, sorted by gender and age group. During the survey period, it was found that 42 percent of male teen cell phone users aged 15 to 17 years accessed chat apps such as WhatsApp or Kik on their phones. Overall, 33 percent of teen mobile users used mobile messenger apps on their cell phones.
