This statistic shows the cumulated advertising revenue in Norway from January to April 2017, by media. The medium with the highest ad spending in Norway was TV - the expenditures amounted to almost 1.3 billion Norwegian kroner. Internet advertising with roughly 1.05 billion Norwegian kroner and far behind direct advertising with approximately 254 million Norwegian kroner ranked second and third respectively.
Over the past decade, the television advertising revenue increased significantly, from 2.24 billion Norwegian kroner in 2006 to more than 3.5 billion Norwegian kroner as of 2016. According to an other source, the most TV ad revenues were generated with information and services - the gross revenue amounted to roughly 2.6 billion Norwegian kroner in 2015. Grocery products came in place two with revenues of almost 1.9 billion Norwegian kroner.
