According to the 2021 survey, Yle TV news was the most popular traditional media channel to follow news in Finland. Around 61 percent of respondents said that they watch Yle TV news on a weekly basis, followed by MTV3 TV news with 54 percent. Other popular news sources included free newspapers, Yle radio news, the afternoon newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, and regional or local newspapers.
