Import volume of goods via sea freight from Italy 2016-2017, by type
The amount of coal, lignite, crude petroleum, and natural gas imported in Italy via seafreight grew from about 80 million metric tons in 2016 to over 88 million metric tons 2017. By contrast, the import volume of coke and refined petroleum products decreased over the same period, passing from roughly 18.5 million metric tons to 16.6 million metric tons.
