In 2022, the number of licensed nutrologists in Brazil reached around 1.98 thousand doctors, up from about 1.77 thousand physicians reported two years prior. This figure has been increasing since the beginning of the period analyzed, when nutrition specialist doctors reached approximately 1.18 thousand physicians in Brazil. Nutrology is a medical field concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of metabolic or nutritional diseases.
