A 2017 survey carried out in Brazil revealed that women in the Northeastern city of Recife were the ones caring the most about hair care in the country. Up to 77 percent of female respondents aged between 18 and 35 thought that it is important to take care of one's own hair, whereas only 54 percent of the women surveyed in Florianópolis agreed with that statement.
