In 2020, the worldwide unified communications as a service (UCaaS) subscriber growth rate rose by 41 percent. While RingCentral held the largest market share at the end of 2020 with 20 percent, both Zoom and Microsoft have driven the growth rate up. Both Microsoft's and Zoom's subscriber base grew to over a million each during 2020. Other leading vendors are 8x8, Cisco, and Mitel. The total UCaaS subscriber numbers have exceeded 15 million by the beginning of 2021.
