Prevalence of users of AT devices in India 2019, by level of disability
A 2019 survey conducted in India revealed that just around 39 percent of severely disabled respondents received help from assistive technology (AT). Meanwhile, approximately eight percent of non-disabled respondents needed assistance from AT. According to the source, the most mentioned reason for not using AT products among respondents with severe disability was "products are not comfortable".
