When taken together, Saudi Arabia and Iran accounted for 47.6 percent assets held by Islamic banks in 2021. Malaysia with third with around 11.2 percent, while no other country held more than 10 percent of the total. Overall, total assets of Islamic banks amounted to 1.84 trillion U.S. dollars in 2020
