Proved oil reserves in non-OECD countries reached around 1.5 trillion barrels in 2020, while OECD countries proved reserves amounted to 260 billion barrels. According to the source, proven oil reserves are reserves of oil that, according to geological and engineering intelligence, can be tapped in future under current economic and technical conditions.

* Total proved reserves of oil: generally taken to be those quantities that geological and engineering information indicates with reasonable certainty can be recovered in the future from known reservoirs under existing economic and operating conditions.
Reserves include gas condensate and natural gas liquids (NGLs) as well as crude oil.
The figures through 2009 are taken from the Exxon report “Oeldorado 2009”. Figures from 2010 to 2018 are taken from previous editions of BP's statistical reviews.
