Although the iPhone has been the main contributor to Apple’s revenue, the iPad accounted for over eight percent of the revenue in the third quarter of Apple's 2024 fiscal year. The share of the revenue from iPhones was over 45 percent, followed by services with over 28 percent, and wearables, home and accessories, with around nine percent.
Apple is the second world leader in the smartphone market. Samsung replaced Apple as the world's leading smartphone vendor with almost 19 percent of the market share in the market for smartphones in the second quarter of 2024.
