Norway: largest glaciers

Many tourists come to Norway to see the country's glaciers. Jostedalsbreen is the largest of these, covering a total area of 458 square kilometers. Vestre Svartisen is the second largest with 190 square kilometers, followed by Søndre Folgefonna in third. The glaciers in Norway have been melting over the recent decades due to global waming.

The list only consists if glaciers in mainland Norway. The 18 largest glaciers in the Kingdom of Norway are located in the arctic archipelago Svalbard, of which Austfonna with 8,492 square kilometers is the largest.
