It is responsible for a number of high-profile competitions, such as the Champions League and European Championship. These tournaments generate significant revenue for the organization, with UEFA’s total revenue amounting to over six billion euros in 2023/24. The current president is Aleksander Čeferin, who has held the position since November 2016.

This is perhaps no surprise - the revenue of the most recent men's EURO tournament amounted to nearly 2.5 billion euros. At international level, UEFA’s leading women’s competition is the European Women’s Championship, also known as the Women’s EURO. In 2022, England won the tournament for the first time, defeating Germany in the final. Despite the defeat, Germany remained the country with the most Women’s EURO titles. At club level, the Women’s Champions League (UWCL) represents the highest tier competition. Following a remarkable run of five consecutive titles from 2015/16 to 2019/20, OL Lyonnes is the club with the most UWCL titles, with eight overall.
