As EBANX expanded their payments platform into emerging markets like Africa, India, and parts of Latin America, their Product Marketing team struggled to find reliable, up-to-date data—especially in hyper specific, emerging digital industries. While information on other markets was more easily accessible, gaps in comparable and trustworthy insights made it difficult to support strategy and build strong business cases for their global clients.

“We support some of the world’s largest tech companies, with operations across multiple regions in the world,” says Estelita.

“Sometimes we have to build a business case to say, hey, we should reinforce our presence in Africa or in Latin America or in India, because of X, Y, Z,” says Estelita.

“But when you talk about emerging markets and comparing those markets to the global scenario, it's super challenging,” Estelita tells us.


"We were really lacking this global view for specific, up-and-coming markets.”

“We get market forecasts from Statista, not just historical data, which is useful for planning, marketing, positioning, and product marketing strategies. This is fundamental for our business.”

“We have a very specific sales strategy cycle because we basically sell emerging markets to global companies. So sometimes we must help them build a business case on the market opportunity,” Estelita tells us.

“Most of the time, they’re not in emerging markets. They’re in an HQ in Europe, the U.S., or Asia. We need to get them closer to seeing the size of the opportunity and why they should offer this payment method or this feature.”
