Gun Shops versus Starbucks in Selected U.S. cities

In New York City there are twice as many Starbucks than there are gun dealers. While there are 1,556 Starbucks, there are 803 gun traders. These are the numbers for the four boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan counted together. There were 11 recent mass shooting in NYC.

In the fourth biggest city in the U.S., in Houston, gun traders (686) outnumber Starbucks threefold (200) and there were five recent mass shootings. Also visit the interactive map by 1point21.
