e-Commerce in the United States

Since 2002, e-commerce sales in the United States have almost quadrupled. In 2011, retail e-commerce sales amounted to $162 billion, up from just $42 billion in 2002.

The largest e-commerce retailer in the United States is Amazon.com. In the second quarter of 2012, more 100 million Americans visited Amazon's website per month.
