Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most prolific forwards in the world and he has the trophies to prove it. In addition to the myriad of individual awards Ronaldo has collected throughout his career, the Portuguese player has also won the Champions League five times - four times with Real Madrid and once with Manchester United.
Ronaldo’s club record
Ronaldo’s accolades at club level span across several countries, having played in three of the Big Five leagues during his career. As of 2023, the Al-Nassr forward was the soccer player with the most goals scored in the UEFA Champions League, having scored 12 goals more than second-placed Lionel Messi. The striker was also the player with the most Champions League appearances in the history of the competition.
Ronaldo’s national team record
After making his first senior appearance for the Portuguese national team in 2003, Ronaldo has won several awards for his country as well. In addition to captaining the Portugal side that won the UEFA European Championship in 2016, the striker is also the leading goalscorer in EURO history. His legacy for the national team will be difficult to overshadow, as he currently leads the number of goals scored for Portugal by more than 80 goals.
