The profit after tax of the Malaysian-based telecommunications company CelcomDigi Berhad (previously Digi.com Berhad) amounted to about 1.5 million Malaysian ringgit in the financial year 2023. In June 2021, Digi shareholder, Norwegian telecommunication company Telenor Group, and Celcom shareholder, Axiata Berhad, agreed on a merger between the two providers. The merger was finally approved in November 2022, with Axiata and Telenor holding an equal 33.1 percent of ownership in CelcomDigi.
