In a survey conducted in December 2019, 23 percent of Italian respondents believed that Conte's government was going to last only a few months. Furthermore, other 23 percent of interviewees stated that the cabinet was going to fall within a year. On the other hand, 21 percent of respondents affirmed that the current government was going to last until the end of the term in 2023.
The current government is supported by M5S, PD, LeU, and Italia Viva and was sworn in September 2019, representing Giuseppe Conte's second cabinet. In July 2020, the share of respondents who trusted the Prime Minister added up to 56 percent.
