Change in VPN and web traffic usage on Verizon networks in the US 2020

The U.S.-based telecommunications company Verizon has registered a significant increase in the usage of VPN and web traffic on its networks in the United States in March and April 2020 compared to pre-Covid-19 levels. This was due to restrictions brought about by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. VPN traffic for example was up by 49 percent on April 9th compared to a typical day pre-Covid-19.
