Distribution of GDP in Egypt 2019-2020, by sector
For the year 2019/2020, manufacturing industries were the sector contributing the most to Egyptian GDP, with up to 16.1 percent of the GDP being generated in this sector. Moreover, wholesale and retail trade, and agriculture, forestry, and fishery followed with a share of GDP of 13.6 percent and 11.3 percent, respectively. On the other hand, the water and information sector had the least share in the country's GDP.
